Hey!

Welcome to Glorious Solutions Centre – where problems are solved. It’s my pleasure to be up and running again this bright new day. “Not by power, nor by might, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord”. Indeed, all thanks to our Father in Heaven, who has kept us alive and healthy, by His power. Looks like it’s gonna be a sunny day in the Garden City of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. What’s the weather forecast like over where you are? Wanna know it? It shall be sunny all across Nigeria with temperatures warm enough to keep you smiling all day-long. Late in the afternoon, cloudy skies of problems may build up but strong heavenly winds will blow from the Highest to dispel all your problems. Hmmm, how about that? So, you have a wonderful day.

Alright, let’s get down to business. A couple of days back, we published the story of John, a 400 level Undergraduate who needs our help and advice to determine his next decision – a vital one for that matter. Summarily, John is pursuing a course he has no interest in, because his parents forced him to read that particular course. Full Story? Please visit the Sharing Room for more details. Already, some responses from concerned persons are pouring in.

Howbeit, John’s predicament is not perculiar to him alone. In fact, many Nigerian students end up pursuing their parents’ dreams, whether it fits into their ultimate purpose/dream or not. Many parents don’t even care to understand the strengths of their children, and guide them in pursuing a career in that strength. This is one major reason why we have dissatisfied graduates all over the country, who have no passion for what they actually studied in school.

Now, do you agree to this assertion or not? Hold on, your answer is required in an ongoing poll on this site. If you are a graduate, the question is: Given the opportunity (to turn back the hands of time), would you still read the course you read in the university? In other words, would you pursue the same career path all over again? And for the undergraduates currently in school, given the opportunity, would you rather choose a different course of study or are you satisfied with your present choice?

So, you’ll find the ongoing poll just to the right. Get over there and please let’s have your response. It’s either a YES, NO or NOT SURE (if you are still lost). The poll closes this Friday.

Cheers!!!

GLORIOUS
